Our Tubex Ecostart tree shelters are an economical, narrower version of the Tubex Standard Shelters ideal for sheltered sites. Tubex Ecostart tree shelters contains lower levels of UV Stabiliser than the Tubex Standard tree shelters and will naturally begin to break down over a shorter period.

Tubex Ecostarts are ideal when you want to protect against a relatively low population of voles, rabbits or hares and the area is not too exposed. The Ecostart gives the same fantastic growing environment as other Tubex products, providing a microclimate for better establishment rates in areas with low rainfall or when the tree would benefit from retained heat. You will need to secure the shelter with a stake and are provided with a pre-fit cable tie for the purpose.

All sizes of Tubex Ecostart will protect against voles if it is pushed into the ground slightly, but select a 60cm Ecostart for protection against rabbits and 75cm for protection against hares.
