Wildstar TM is a collection of 10 strains of British native Wild Cherry, propagated clonally for rapid establishment. Each order despatched will comprise a family of not less than seven clones to ensure genetic diversity.  We are pleased to be one of a select group of nurseries appointed to produce Wildstar TM cherry. Due to the vigorous growth of these plants we have produced them in a larger container than normal - a 400cc cell. These plants are supplied in multiples of 10 and as a mix of the 10 clones in order to ensure genetic variability.

Genetically Improved Sitka Spruce. Much good work has been done in recent years by Tree Improvement Branch at Forest Research in selecting trees showing superior growth rate and timber quality potential. This potential, or "form gain" is measured in terms of stem straightness, fineness of branching and internode spacing. Seed is now available which allows foresters to benefit from this work at a lower cost than they would pay for vegetatively propagated clonal stock. We can currently offer trees from two "families" with the following gains compared to standard QCI stock: A16, giving 16% improved growth potential and 6% form gain E10, giving 8% improved growth potential and 2% form gain.
