Grey Alder (Alnus incana)
Native to Europe and the Caucasus, although widely distributed over the continent. a large shrub to a tree which can grow up to 20 metres. It is particularly resilient to frost and identified by its smooth dark grey bark.
The size of each plant is between 15 – 50cm in height from the root plug.

Product Description
Grey alder, or Alnus incana, is a huge deciduous tree that is native to Europe but is now widely found in Britain. It is valued for its benefits to wildlife and its ability to withstand unfavourable growth circumstances.
Shiny ovate leaves and yellow-brown, pollinator-attracting catkins appear in February, and are followed by the distinctive, long-lasting, hard, green fruits that provide food for birds over the winter.It is a fast-growing, medium-sized, deciduous tree with a conical habit. Reaching a mature height of 12m, this hardy tree copes well in wet cold conditions. Often planted to create shelter from the wind, the Grey alder is ideal in medium to large gardens and coastal sites.

Deliveries
All postage and packaging charges for products delivered to the Mainland UK are included within the price. Additional charges apply for Northern Ireland, The Highlands & Scottish Isles, The Channel Islands, Scilly Isles & Isle of Man when ordering more than 8 trees.
As a guide, orders for 8 plants or more will be sent via a courier, 8 plants or fewer will be sent by Royal Mail.

Refunds
Your happiness is our business and that is why we individually check every single tree that we send out. If you have a concern about your tree, please get in touch with us within 7 days so that we can diagnose the issue. Very rarely, we might ask you to send the tree back to us in secure packaging to help us identify the issue but often we can identify the issue with photographs.
