  • Product Description

Tilia platyphyllos commonly known as Large Leaved Lime is a fast-growing tree that, when fully grown can reach up to 40 metres!

Because of its lush foliage, the tree appears healthy all year round, it is also shade resilient and overall very tough. Making it a great candidate for both urban and rural environments. In June and July, yellow-white, highly scented flowers appear, drawing lots of bees. The delicious sap in the bark also attracts woodpeckers to your garden.

It is easy to prune and shape but can also be left completely alone and will form statuesque specimens.
Although this tree can survive in urban settings and is a hard worker, planting it in the country is actually the best option. The majority of soil types, including clay soils, will not harm it. Overall it is a great all-rounder tree for gardens, estates and urban developments.
