Atlas Cedar Tree (Cedrus Atlantica)

Atlas Cedar (Cedrus atlantica) is a hardy evergreen cedar tree, well able to tolerate the UK's low winter temperatures once established. This resilient conifer tree grows best on poor to medium nutrient soils with a dry to fresh moisture level, making it well suited to leaner, well drained ground where many other conifers struggle. As UK summers grow drier, particularly across southern and eastern England, Atlas Cedar is a species likely to increase in popularity for its tolerance of these conditions. Left to mature, this striking cedar tree can reach up to 35 metres in height, forming a bold, long lasting feature in parks, estates and larger gardens.
