Portuguese Laurel (Prunus lusitanica)
One of our most popular hedge plants is the Portuguese laurel. Mature plants have glossy, pointed, dark-green leaves on deep pink or maroon stalks, while younger plants or those growing in colder or shadier environments might have lush green stems.
A great looking evergreen shrub which can be used to a create a dense hedge. It is easy to maintain and keep tidy.
The size of each plant is between 15 – 50cm in height from the root plug.

Product Description
The Portuguese laurel is a graceful evergreen hedge plant with maroon-colored branches that bear short, pointed, glossy leaves that are deep green in colour.
Along with little red fruits that are a favourite of birds, tiny, fragrant white blooms bloom in the summer and attract bees and butterflies. The fruits become black in the autumn.With its medium growth rate, Portuguese laurel is rather easy to shape and manage. It only needs to be trimmed once a year in the late summer, although it can grow very tall if you want it to.
Growing Portuguese laurels is simple, and they do well in full sun as well as partial or full shade. Any type of soil will work with them as long as it doesn't get too wet during rainy seasons.

Deliveries
All postage and packaging charges for products delivered to the Mainland UK are included within the price. Additional charges apply for Northern Ireland, The Highlands & Scottish Isles, The Channel Islands, Scilly Isles & Isle of Man when ordering more than 8 trees.
As a guide, orders for 8 plants or more will be sent via a courier, 8 plants or fewer will be sent by Royal Mail.

Refunds
Your happiness is our business and that is why we individually check every single tree that we send out. If you have a concern about your tree, please get in touch with us within 7 days so that we can diagnose the issue. Very rarely, we might ask you to send the tree back to us in secure packaging to help us identify the issue but often we can identify the issue with photographs.
